Fresh Food- HB 2474
HB 2474: Rep. Scott (D-Tulsa)
One obstacle Oklahomans face in improving their health is lack of access to fresh, healthy food. This bill is aimed at increasing the number of healthy corner markets in food deserts across Oklahoma. The amendment makes loans for healthy corner market stores more accessible by removing a trigger that has been tied to the inflation rate. This trigger has become a barrier to those Oklahomans wanting to open these healthy corner markets in communities across our state.
